Each one of Helena’s paintings are one-off pieces featuring brilliant colours and textures. Using layers of paints and bold strokes, Helena evokes the Australian landscape that is her inspiration while incorporating the movement and colour of dance.
Her acrylic works are beautifully composed and boldly crafted. Her work can be found in Victorian regional galleries, private galleries and corporate gallery spaces as well as in private homes throughout Europe, United Kingdom, United States of America, China, Scotland and Japan.

Helena can often be found at her easel immersing herself in a world of colour, movement and texture. Her vibrant oil paintings feature beautiful textures and layers of generous paint applied in bold strokes which add dimension and depth to her sense of landscape and movement.

Helena’s silk paintings are individually created so that no two pieces are the same. Using landscapes as her inspiration, Helena’s silk paintings are based on the visual concept of aerial views, the earth as seen from a plane. Her large scale silk paintings use beautiful colours and composition to create unique silk paintings you won’t find anywhere else.
With many years of experience in silk painting, Helena has mastered the art of working with silk. Each brushstroke, once applied cannot be taken back, so Helena carefully considers colour, juxtaposition and space to create her unique silk paintings.

Silk Art Pieces

Hand painting silk is a challenging medium to work with. Each brushstroke, once applied, cannot be taken back thereby making Helena’s skilful choice of colour, space and juxtaposition critical in the process as her one-off silk art pieces are created.
When creating her silk art pieces, each garment begins with two metre sections of quality imported silk. Helena then designs and paints each piece before sewing and adding beading detail to create stand-alone wearable art pieces that are at once stunning, timeless and edgy.
Perfect for weddings and special occasions, Helena is happy to speak with you about your individual requirements and is able to take commissions both locally and globally.
Felted Art Pieces

Created using bold colours and soft fibre textures Helena creates unique and timeless wearable felt art pieces that are all absolutely one-off. This unique form of textile art reaches beyond the limits of two dimensional fabrics to embrace texture, colour and vibrancy.
Using the age old art of felt making, all felt is handmade, sewn and individually designed and constructed by Helena.
